The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] Empty
PostSubject: The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game]   The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] EmptyWed Aug 01, 2018 4:19 am

In what appeared to be a long narrow hospital ward, several people would wake up to find themselves lying on white beds in separate rooms. The first thing that might hit them is the thick smell of antiseptic. Perhaps it was their glaringly white surroundings, or the echo of a telephone in the distance. Whatever the case, they would come to find they were in small hospital bedrooms. They consisted of a single bed tucked in the upper right corner, a wooden end table, and a window with curtains drawn. How they got there was a mystery, but if others tried hard enough, they would remember the sound of faint hissing and their surroundings filling up with fog before blacking out. Whatever the case, they were all in the same situation now--for now.

The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game]   The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] EmptyWed Aug 01, 2018 4:19 am

Evie gripped the side of the bed she was comfortably lying on weakly before fluttering her eyes open and looking around in the room she was in. Strange, she wasn't supposed to be here, she was supposed to meet a distant relative of hers to make amends because of her, family's actions, but now she's in a hospital for some reason. Was she hurt? Did she, get herself into an accident that made her lose her memories, which is why she can't remember it? It has to be that.

Evie sat up and yawned, the bed was nice for her and she had a great sleep, but she needed to know why she was here. She thought back about her trip to meet her relative. Yes, it got foggy for her and the last thing she heard of a faint hissing...A car can do that, but then again Evie doesn't appear to be wounded by any vehicle, so she couldn't be in a ho---In...No, she couldn't of gotten hurt like that, she could never, there had to be another reason!

"Mister Doctor?" Evie called out, moving herself off from the bed and looking around the room, before realizing her mistake on what she just did. There are lady doctors as well! "Oh, sorry. Mr or Miss Doctor? May I ask why i'm here? I'm kind of needing to go somewhere, more important than all of this really." Evie walked towards the door to the room and tried to open the door.

Really, hospitals to her were boring. She wanted to go meet her relative in a more exciting place!

The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game]   The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] EmptyWed Aug 01, 2018 4:20 am

Magnolia snapped open her eyes, waking up from a deep slumber. She was a little disoriented and confused on where she was. Studying the room, she concluded that she must be in a hospital; however, she did not recognize this one. It definitely didn't look like any of the ones in New York City. Had she gotten hurt at work? No, that couldn't be right; if she was hurt the staff would have changed her out of her costume and into a proper gown.

This had to be a hospital though, as the antiseptic smell was usually associated with one. She could hear a telephone ringing in the distance, but she found it odd no one had answered it yet. Was this place even staffed? Magnolia tried to remember what she was doing last. She had finished her last dance of the night and was feeling pretty crappy about her stupid spat with Rodrigo. All the other dancers had gone on stage for a segment her character was not a part of. She remembered she was about to change into her everyday clothing, and... A hissing sound? And then fog billowing around her, and then... She woke up here.

Magnolia got out of the bed and slowly walked towards the door. She was kinda pissed she was dressed in a skimpy outfit and heels, but there were probably more important things to attend to. Like how the hell she got here in the first place, and how the hell was she going to get out. Walking into the long corridor, it felt unnaturally empty and quiet. There were several rooms in the corridor, but she could only hear one person crying out for a doctor. Magnolia began walking towards the voice. A terrible thought then crossed her mind. What if this was the work of the Bianchi Family? Sure, it's been a while since the whole incident. But there was the chance that they needed to cut off some loose ends. She, however, decided that the best course of action was to seek out this person. If someone wanted to kill her, they would have done so already.

After arriving at the door, Magnolia straightened her back and put a stupid smile on her face. "Like, oh my God! I thought I was the only person here! I'm not, like, a doctor or anything, but I just wanted to check in. You were calling out after all."

Evie would be able to open the door with ease. Like Magnolia, she would see an empty, abandoned corridor with multiple doors to other rooms, presumably, like hers. Like the bedrooms, the walls and floor were stark white. At one end of the corridor, there was a double door, the kind that swung open if you pushed past it. On another end, there was the portrait and an end table with a vase. Somewhere wedged between the line of doors was an alcove that gave way to a tall counter, cabinets, and another door. Hanging above the counter was a sign that said Nurse's Station. A phone was there and it was ringing off the hook.

Evie decided that instead of just grabbing the doorknob and pulling the door open like a normal person would do, she would instead push it open harshly, which she soon did. It caused the girl to fall on the floor into the hallway. "Ow."She cried out quietly in pain from landing on the floor, before looking up to see another woman standing in front of her.

Evie sat up, still looking at the woman. "Yeah...For a doctor or nurse, not another patient. In fact..." Evie began to look around the abandoned hallway. It would appear that not only her and Magnolia were the only two in the hallway, but they might be the only two people in this hospital.

"Where is everyone?" She looked at the double door at the end of the hallway, before turning towards Magnolia. "Maybe there through those doors over there." She pointed before walking towards the two doors and pushing them open, hoping to expect someone on the other side.

Walking past the Nurses Station in the process. She did not seem to care at all that the phone was ringing, she wanted to see if someone was at least behind these doors be it a doctor, nurse or another patient. Magnolia can answer the phone instead if she wants. If nobody was there, then will Evie investigate the Nurses Station, particularly the cabinets.

Gary snaps awake. He's uncomfortably aware that this isn't his office. His initial assumption was that he had passed out in his cubicle again. But the notable absence of any human noise quickly dismissed that theory. Surely a functioning hospital would be filled with the sounds of nurses rushing about, family members pacing in corridors, the heavy breathing of men who'd seen better days. No, there was naught but the faint ringing of a phone in the distance. Not only that, but he was still in his work suit as opposed to a hospital gown. He got up out of the bed, surprisingly easily in fact, and let out a yell. Hello? Can anyone hear me? He noticed a slight crack in his voice, he hadn't had any conferences in a while so he hadn't spoken in about a week. It was then he heard faint chatter outside the room he'd woken up in. He turned the knob and slowly opened the door, hoping for an explanation. If this carried on any longer than it had to, he might be late for work.

"Whoopsie! You okay?" Magnolia asked. She didn't want the woman to be hurt, but she figured since they were in a hospital they should be fine. Granted, it looked like no one was around to actually treat any injuries, but she decided not to think too much about it.

The woman wasted no time and immediately headed towards the Nurse's Station, so naturally, Magnolia followed behind her. She stopped in her tracks, however, when she heard a man calling out. She couldn't just leave him alone in the hallway! "I hear someone else." She said to the other woman. "I'm going to go see them, you keep investigating!" And before she gave Evie a chance to reply, she started heading towards the door that the voice was coming from.

Seeing a door slowly opened, she ran up to it and waited for whoever was opening it to come out. "Hello!" She exclaimed.

Gary steps fully into the hallway and is greeted by a woman seemingly in or around her 30's, clad in some kind of medieval clothing. Gary had never been to a "fantasy bar", but he had overheard one of the younger employees speaking very giddily about "this one place downtown where all the chicks are cosplaying" once. After giving it a prompt google search, he decided that's what would best describe how the woman in front of him looked.

"Oh, hello. Do you have any idea where we are?" he asked the girl. In his younger days, he may have asked what she was doing dressed in such a way. But he knew how long and drawn out an answer to a question like that could be. Lord forbid, it could even turn into a discussion. And Gary had no time for nonsense like that.

To the woman he stood in front of, while his voice seemed on the brink of panic, his face and posture projected a feeling of disinterest and boredom.

PostSubject: Re: The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game]   The Trial [Pre-Cycle Game] EmptyWed Aug 01, 2018 4:21 am

The telephone that had been ringing all the while finally stopped, leaving the corridors unnervingly quiet. Evie's own attempt to find something past the swinging doors would only lead her to more rooms that were locked. There seemed to be an elevator, but pushing the buttons wouldn't get it to work, nor would prying it open. It seemed to be welded shut. Another door to the left of the elevator read "EXIT" in bright green letters, but the door didn't budge either.

The silence would give way to the sound of a clack and at the end of the corridor Evie was in, a young man wearing a black hoodie and jeans would stumble out. He was holding onto the doorknob as if to keep his balance. Upon further examination, nothing much struck out about the boy. Black hair, dark eyes, slightly oriental features, a bandage on the upper corner of his forehead.

"Misa?" he mumbled.

Meanwhile, in the corridor Magnolia and Gary were in, the phone rang again. This time, however, what sounded like an old-fashioned answering machine played.

Hello, you have reached the Del Rosario Ward. I'm sorry, but this ward has been out of commission for ten years. Please leave a message and die.

The voice had been that of a perky young woman who seemed too delighted to emphasize the latter part.

There was a long beep followed by another voice, this time, a young girl's.

"Hello? Hello!? Is anyone there!?"

Evie smiled as the double doors open...Unfortunately, she was disappointed to find that it only leads into more rooms that wouldn't even open, so what was the use of even trying? However the elevator at the end of the hall did spark Evie's interests and the woman quickly ran towards it and tried to open the elevator, but like all of the doors in this hallway, that was not an option, neither was the EXIT sign. They were definitely trapped, trapped in this hospital for an unknown reason.

And it was only a matter of time until they find a reason, and judging from the sudden butterflies in Evie's stomach, she has a feeling bad things are going to happen soon.

"Lady?!" Evie called out in her quietest, yet loudest voice possible, rubbing her hair back and forth. She didn't want to shout in case something bad would happen, however, all she got in response was a man instead. Evie jumped back dramatically in shock over the man's sudden appearance, almost making her fall on the floor again, fortunately, she managed to prevent herself from doing so.

"You scared me," Evie replied in shock, putting a hand on her chest. She walked forward towards the man, confused as to what he just said. "Misa? Who's Misa?" She asked. "Is she the woman back down the other hall?" She pointed towards the double doors.
